Spring game: April 17)

  1. Quarterback Omar Clayton, who suffered a season-ending knee injury against TCU will be ready for spring ball.  However Mike Clausenwho filled in for the last month of the season did impress withcompleting 70-of-125 passes for 767 yards, five touchdowns and twointerceptions.  There could be a quarterback battle, but it is safe toassume Clayton will be the starter and Clausen will be used to pushClayton.
  2. Defense, defense, and some more defense.  Five of the front seven do return, but the 2008 defense was ranked 104th in the nation.
  3. The Rebels loose a lot of offense in running back Frank Summers. Backup running back C.J. Cox had 16 carries for 191 yards and a touchdown, so running back will be a high priority.
